Meet Founder & CEO Clay Myers
Clay Myers - Founder/CEO
Clay Myers is a Nashville music industry veteran, entrepreneur, and trusted advisor to developing artists and songwriters. As the Founder and CEO of Nashville Music Consultants, he brings more than three decades of hands-on experience in artist development, music publishing, management, creative strategy, booking, and music-based television production.
Known for combining Music Row credibility with practical career guidance, Myers helps emerging artists and their teams make smarter decisions about their music, brand, and next steps. His work is rooted in both relationships and real-world experience, giving artists and families access to the kind of industry insight that can help shorten the learning curve and build momentum with purpose.
Myers began his Nashville career working with the legendary country supergroup ALABAMA at Maypop Music. He later became General Manager of a new publishing division at Reba McEntire’s Starstruck Entertainment, where he also expanded into artist management. During that chapter of his career, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Music Publishers Association.
He went on to join Creative Artists Agency, where he helped facilitate major catalog representation deals and worked on record deal opportunities for country artists. He later served in a leadership role at Roy Orbison Music/Still Working Music, where the company and its writers were involved in the development of major hit songs, including Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me.”
In addition to his publishing and artist development background, Myers has also built a strong track record in music television. He served as Talent Producer for seven seasons of the syndicated music series THE SONG, contributed to multiple music-based series on Circle Network, and later served as Talent Manager for CMT’s Campfire Sessions Seasons II and III, as well as a CMT Crossroads episode.
Today, Myers is known for helping developing artists bridge the gap between talent and direction. Through Nashville Music Consultants, he works with artists and their families to bring clarity to the process, strengthen creative identity, and create a more strategic path forward in a highly competitive music business.
He also serves on the board of New Roots Empowered, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the growth of young female artist-songwriters. His career has been built on championing talent, creating opportunity, and helping artists move forward with greater confidence, preparation, and purpose.
