Meet Our Founder/CEO Clay Myers
Music industry veteran Clay Myers has been a driving force in the country music scene for over three decades, fostering the careers of countless artists and songwriters. As the Founder and CEO of Myers Music Media and Nashville Music Consultants LLC, Myers leverages his extensive experience in artist management, music publishing, creative booking, and television production to guide and empower emerging talent.
Myers's journey began when he relocated to Nashville to work with legendary country supergroup ALABAMA at Maypop Music. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming General Manager of a new music publishing division at Reba McEntire's Starstruck Entertainment. During that time, Myers was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) and extended his role with Starstruck to include artist management duties. Myers expanded further when he joined Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he facilitated major catalog representation deals and spearheaded record deals for many country artists. Following that opportunity, Myers was appointed the GM/VP role of Roy Orbison Music/Still Working Music where the company and its writing staff fostered many chart-topping singles like Taylor Swift's BMI Song of the Year multi award winning song "You Belong With Me."
In addition to his vast experience in the music industry, Myers has recently served as the Talent Producer for six seasons of the widely acclaimed syndicated music series THE SONG. He has also lent his expertise as a Talent Producer for several music-based series on the Circle Network and most recently served as the Talent Manager for CMT's Campfire Sessions season II & III.
Myers is a dedicated supporter of emerging talent, serving as a board member for the non-profit organization New Roots Empowered, which focuses on fostering the careers of young female artist-songwriters. His unwavering commitment to artist development and music publishing has solidified his reputation as a cornerstone of the country music industry.
